On July 14 the trainees visited Shobara City. First they visited the City Office and studied about the outline, industries, and the characteristics of the city.
Then in the afternoon they visited three farmers who developed the new breed of rice, Satoyama-no-yume, at Yamanouchi Community Center.
- Mr. Saneyasu is a former member of the municipal assembly, working for the Community now.
- Visiting rice paddy of Satoyama-no-yume.
- Bamboo powder is made into fertilizer to grow rice.
