What comes after lectures?

A lecture by Ms. Michiko Yamaoka, an Atomic-Bomb survivor’s child.

Tour of the Prefectural Office and a courtesy visit on the Governor.

Meeting Mr. Hidehiko Yuzaki, the governor of Hiroshima Prefecture.

The trainees went through  lectures and on-site training, and day-trips including 2 field trips, 3 trips to Hiroshima City, and to Kuba Community Center in Otake City.

On the first day of the training, Campus Tour was held by volunteer campus guides who are graduate students of Hiroshima University.

On the second day they went to Hiroshima City to visit Peace Memorial Museum, to listen to a lecture by a child of a-Bomb survivor, to pay a courtesy call on UNITAR Hiroshima Office, and to listen to a lecture on HICARE(Hiroshima International Council for Health Care of the Radiation-exposed)by a prefecturel officer who belongs to A-Bomb Victims/Survivors Support Division.

     The 5th Hiroshima Essential Trainings was held from July 2nd to 29th, 2017 in Hiroshima, Japan. 12 trainees who had been qualified at Davao Selective Seminar visited Hiroshima and studied for 4 weeks.

On July 2nd, 12 trainees, 2 facilitators and an assistant arrived from Mindanao via Manila and Fukuoka.

       They took lectures by the lectures both from Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima University. They also visited Shobara City and Kumano Town as field trips.

The 12 participants who got high scores in exams and workshops at Davao Selective Seminar were chosen to get trained in Hiroshima in July.

Participants in DSS are taking an exam on one of the lectures.

We are proud of you, not only the chosen 12 but all the participants in DSS.

Davao Selective Seminar has started!

28 who had successfully gone through the document screening held last month gathered in Davao on Thursday, May 18th. Now they are participating in the Seminar according to the schedule, listening to lectures of an officer of Hiroshima Prefectural Government and a professor of Hiroshima University, taking exams on the lectures, and carrying out a workshop.

Participants with a little nervous look?

They have 2 lectures and 2 exams!

After going through two days of the selection process, the result will be announced in the morning on Sunday, May 21.
